Jasmien Roosenboom, PhD

Jasmien is a second-year Postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Craniofacial and Dental Genetics. She obtained her BSc (2010) and MSc (2012) in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Leuven, Belgium. She started her PhD research at the same university, investigating facial morphology associated with orofacial clefting. She moved to Pittsburgh in September 2016, to further investigate subphenotypes of orofacial clefting and the genetics of normal-range facial variation and become international chair for the UPPDA. In her spare time, she likes to run, travel, and she is always enthusiastic about trying out new restaurants in Pittsburgh. She is looking forward to be the President of the 2018 UPPDA board and to meet her postdoc colleagues during the different UPPDA events.
